Beachy

This is still England, so maybe a dip in the sea is a bit too much for ask for just yet. But the sun is out, the days are longer, and we have some spectacular coastline with golden beaches and glittering sea views to enjoy.

Cornwall has more than its fair share of sandy expanses. It is the UK's most south-westerly county and offers all things from watersport beaches such as Newquay, to pretty little havens like Kynance Cove. Cornwall is home to the popular little fishing town of Looe and the protected Roseland Peninsula.

Sticking to the south coast, Devon is another one for beach-goers. Devon's coastline, often referred to as the English Riviera, is loved for its mild climate and seaside resorts.

Norfolk is more for nature-lovers. Many of the Norfolk beaches are protected for the incredible variety of habitat found there. You're sure to spot a lot of wildlife along the Norfolk coast, especially birdlife, and especially in spring! The Wells/Holkham beach is a particular favourite with visitors.

Coastal

If you enjoy the sea air and the excellent views, but aren't really in the mood for sand, there is plenty of protected coastline well worth a visit!

Dorset is perhaps most famous for its stretch of the Jurassic Coast, and the abundance of fossils discovered each year. Incredible rock and coastal formations characterise this section of Britain: Dorset is home to the stunning Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door and, of course, Old Harry!

Heading slightly further North, the Pembrokeshire Coast was the first National Park in Britain to be inscribed primarily for the beauty of its coastline. It is fantastic for walks and there are many incredible wild and rugged beauty spots.

National Parks and Countryside

We are lucky enough to have 15 incredible National Parks in the UK. These protected areas are each different and unique in their own way, with all of them offering their own variety of habitat and wildlife. Spring is a fantastic time to discover an area you haven't visited before; the evenings are lighter for longer and you can really blow away the cobwebs. Whether you fancy birdwatching on the wild moors of Exmoor, or mountain climbing in the iconic Peak District, you'll find staying in your perfect property really makes all the difference. Maybe you have never seen Snowdonia or would love to visit the chocolate-box villages of the Cotswolds – make this spring the time to do it!
