Two new T.V series are taking a look at places to walk in the UK. Because our Rural properties have been handpicked for their exquisite surroundings and tourist hotspots, you'll see that a lot of our locations and some of the famous, nearby attractions keep popping up on the programmes, along with facts, local tales and interesting places to visit nearby. Seeing it will no doubt inspire you to embark on some walks of your own when you next come to stay with us!
Coastal Walks with my Dog, More4
Coastal Walks with my Dog is a new programme on More4 from True North that will be highlighting some of our most spectacular coastal spots. The programme follows six celebrities and their four-legged friend as they discover the great British coastline. It will be covering dog walks in North Devon, wild Pembrokeshire, Dorset's famous Jurassic Coast, the White Cliffs of Dover in Kent, rugged North Wales and the North Yorkshire Coast.
The first episode airs at 8pm on Saturday 19th March and the series sees the likes of Bill Bailey, Phil Spencer and Ben Fogle get to know the landscape with their pooch companions. Not only will we get to see the area from the celebrities' perspective, but we also get a dog's-eye-view of everything as each furry friend is supplied with a special 'canine-cam'! It's certainly one to watch, especially if you are coming to stay in one of our dog-friendly properties and are looking for walks ideas.

Julia Bradbury's Best Walks with a View, ITV
We also have hundreds of walks to offer inland as well. And if it's a family-friendly walk you are after, try to catch Julia Bradbury's Best Walks with a View. The programme is currently airing on Fridays at 8pm on ITV, and is a particular favourite with the National Trust at the moment, who have a number of properties and protected sites in the featured areas. Julia Bradbury takes us on adventures to some of her favourite places and visits famous areas of the UK, National Parks and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The idea of the programme is to feature walks that are specifically inclusive for the whole family, whether they have little legs or long legs! Each walk can be comfortably fitted into a morning or afternoon stroll and will include the reward of a good pub, or ideal picnic place as motivation. Some of the featured areas include the South Downs, the stunning Lake District and sunny Dorset.
