Beautiful location. Great for our family of 5.
A beautiful setting in rural Cornwall with easy access to many stunning beaches and full access to the lovely Bonython Gardens. The cottage is spacious and very well appointed. Minor issues were dealt with in a friendly and efficient manner. Well worth revisiting in the future.
lovely location and property
Excellent. Clean, comfortable, lovely surroundings, good welcome pack. Will return.
we found it great place to stay
Lovely peaceful cottage in beautiful setting. Perfect for family with both younger and older family members
Another fabulous Rural Retreat in a superb location ! Had some lovely walks round the the beautiful gardens on the estate Cottage had everything we needed , a real cosy home from home Tamara and her team were great Thank you for another great stay
great location spacious cottage. everything we needed. bonus was gardens to walk in.much appriciated welcome pack
Absolutely fabulous cottage full of character and charm, in a wonderful location. Many places of interest on the Lizard Peninsular within a few minutes drive. Cottage was extremely spacious, comfortable and clean. everything you needed for your self catering holiday. Added to which was a good size garden with outside seating and a BBQ so plenty of space to relax and dine outside. The hamper was fabulous, the home made lemon drizzle cake was very moreish and wine was very welcome. The setting was idyllic, having access to the Bonython Estate outside of opening hours was a real bonus with many a pleasant morning and evening walks on estate. The Estate Grounds are absolutely beautiful and really enjoyed listening to the Barn and Tawny Owls in the night. We were scheduled to holiday on the Isles of Scilly, but Covid 19 resulted in us having to change our plans and this was a real find, so in this strange world we are in, this was a positive. It was an absolute pleasure to be welcomed to the cottage by 'Tara' the owners dog who visited everyday on her daily rounds. Certainly will be booking again on the estate and cottage are just so beautiful.
Excellent accommodation. Beautiful gardens. Wish we had booked for longer.
Beautiful cottage in an amazing location. Very welcoming host.
Mews cottage is perfectly located to explore the western part of Cornwall. Spacious and cosy rooms with a tough of local character. Ideal for a big family or 2 couples as there is ample space for privacy. Well maintained and a very suportive landlord.
Overall, a spacious, comfortable, quite well equipped cottage in a secluded yet reasonably convenient location midway between Helston and Lizard with limited outside space and no view but free access to lovely estate gardens. Furnishings are essentially fine but the electric Mira showers are rather pathetic and the mattresses on the beds in the twin room feel tired and are not comfortable. The wood stove in the sitting room needs better ventilation as it won't stay alight unless loaded up with rather too much wood. Only occasional helicopter noise (Culdrose is just up the road)but otherwise the only sound is birdsong and wind in the trees. This comment box is annoying because as soon as you start to type your text disappears from sight below your keypad - at least it does on an iPad.
Very clean and comfortable in a great location
A lovely cottage. Very pleased with the standard and always good to see the splendid welcome hamper. will return
Very quiet. Beautiful garden. Commodious cottage.
Property is in a good location but requires some attention. First thing that greats you as you walk in is the dampness (never great). Kitchen is below an expected Rural Retreats standard (quite outdated). Good range of utensils but the knives were very poor. The upstairs bathrooms were also below the expected Rural Retreats standard. Duvets did not fit the covers or a few beds. Hair dryer once requested was pretty poor quality (must have cost all of £5). That said both the owner and the housekeeper were very nice and welcoming.
The cottage was lovely and the housekeeper extremely helpful. Just a couple of minor points: the upstairs doublebed sags quite badly and could do with a new mattress (not great for our backs!) and the kitchen knifes are very blunt.
The only comment the knives really need to be sharpened, and a new vegetable peeler. Cottage was wonderful and the setting and gardens were beautiful. Very clean.
