Great location. Amazing view. Comfy beds and good showers.
This is a great house superb views especially from the 2 bedrooms upstairs., is very well equipped and would suit all. Great location and the owners were very attentive and extremely helpful. Would definitely stay again and fully recommend it.
Property is a little tired and could do with updating- specifically carpets and conservatory.
Very comfortable lots of light, great communicate with the host. Very thoughtful little touches with breakfast ingredients for us with some essentials. Highly recommend it. Perfect stop for a beach get away. Can’t beat the view from the house.
This was a very comfortable property in a fabulous location. It was great for a friends reunion, The owner provided detailed information about the property and facilities and was on hand to answer any questions. We hope to return.
The house was very clean, generally well equipped and spacious. it was in an excellent position - very convenient and with wonderful views from the garden and back bedrooms. The owners of the property communicated clearly and efficiently. A cafetiere which had a crack in it when we arrived was replaced the day after we reported it.
Fabulous place, in a perfect position. The automatic vents in the conservatory made it impossible to use, when it got warm enough to sit in the vents opened and it got cold very quickly. This was the coldest spell of weather we have had in years, The house was generally very clean so was surprised to find it was a bit dusty.
The house provides all that is needed and more for a lovely family holiday. It is in a superb location with outstanding views over a wonderful beach and the owners obviously put enormous effort into the house and beach hut to make it as perfect as can be.
There were certain aspects of the property which required refurbishment or updating and some small things which needed repair (I have informed the owners). Overall we had an excellent holidsy
The house was lovely. It really met our expectations. All eight of us enjoyed the area. The views from the back garden were stunning. Close to everything we needed.
We loved it, was a perfect location, the best views ever The house is very comfortable, with everything you need, like home from home There is sky telly in every room, docking stations for I-pods, the kitchen is equipped with every thing you need, I even made a cake while I was there! Will definitely return
Our second stay at Beach View was as perfect as the first. The views just as stunning and the beds just as comfortable! The house is very much a home from home with everything you could possibly need to make your stay perfect! The host is very keen to ensure everything is as it should be.
We very much enjoyed our stay in Beach View. Without doubt the magnificent sweeping sea view (all the way from the Isle of Wight to the Isle of Purbeck and Jurassic Coast) from the back of the house and garden is the best feature of the property. The beds are also considerably more comfortable than in many of the Rural Retreats we have stayed in. I have rated it 4 rather than 5 stars because of the traffic noise from the through road at the front of the property, which was particularly disturbing at night and early in the morning, with the windows often rattling as vehicles drove past. Three of the four bedrooms have windows facing the road - only the master bedroom does not. Also, making the sharp right angled turn in and out of the driveway was quite awkward, particularly given that there were often cars and vans parked on the road immediately on either side of the entrance.
Response from the owner: Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback and confirming how comfortable are pocket spring beds are ! I am sorry there was a sensitivity to noise. HOPEFULLY THE SOUND OF THE SEA DID NOT INTRUDE. The house is set well back from the road. Two of the bedrooms have large sliding doors and windows directly on to the sea view (one also is the width of the house so has a small double glazed window facing the road). The other two bedrooms are road facing but double glazed (for warmth not sound) and the road is a standard narrow coastal road so nothing which has previously led to any feedback from guests. Just to let you know we have taken lockdown to have furniture polished and painted together with adding many new items of equipment and furniture for our guests to enjoy ! This includes a bench on the top decking.
The hamper mostly had food suitable for children, not up to Rural Retreats high standard! The key to the house was not at all easy to get to. We couldnt get the TV's to work with Sky so the owner immediately sent someone round. Wonderful view of the bay, but rental is overpriced for the area and house.
Response from the owner: Thank your so much for have brought problems with the Sky remotes to our attention while you were there so we could deal with it immediately for you and future guests. Delighted you enjoyed the amazing views and your stay. The hamper contains the Rural recommended items and so not sure why this is considered directed at a younger generation.
Great location, house ideal for a family celebration. 5 stars not given due to the fact that one on-suite had poor lighting due to the fact that only 3 of the 8 lights were working, as well as the vanity light being out of action.TV in kitchen also not working.Chairs in dining room were a bit rickety with one in poor state of repair.
What a great place to stay for our 50th Wedding anniversary with our children and two grandchildren (3 and 5 ) The house had everything we needed and the decor was excellent. The beach hut was a very handy addition and the children loved the swimming at the hotel. The weather was also perfect. All in all it is a great place to make happy memories.
