Booked for 14 February and when we arrived there were two cup cakes with small love heart balloons and more balloons above the bed few big balloons decorated for Valentin's day. Very pleasant surprise. The accommodation was great and were helpful with our queries Had a good time and would love to book it again.
Those are such lovely touches from Cedar Tree's owner and we are really pleased that you had a good time at Whitchurch.
A cute little gem in the midst of the Hampshire countryside. Cedar Tree was perfect for our weekend away, visiting Winchester cathedral, the silk mill in Whitchurch and Bombay Sapphire. A beautiful view greeted us every morning and we loved watching the antics of the horses, cows and red kites. Cedar Tree was comfortable and well equipped with the added bonus of a thoughtful welcome pack. Thank you for a lovely stay
What a lovely review for Cedar Tree, our special little shepherd's hut. Thank you so much.
We had a really lovely stay at Cedar Tree . Good location , lovely people , comfortable bed , good shower , quiet , close horses for entertainment & view of paddocks
We had a fabulous 3 day stay in the lovely Cedar Tree Shepherds Hut…..everything has been thought about perfectly so it’s very much ’home from home’. Jenny kindly prepared some tasty birthday brownies for the birthday celebration too which was very thoughtful. We would highly recommend a stay at Cedar Tree and we will be back ourselves soon. Thank you.
Perfect place to retreat at Cedar Tree, has everything you need in this cute hut. The tranquility , the stunning views, peace and quiet, completely switch off from the outside world .... pure absolute bliss .....will never get bored of this place, will definitely be going back when I can next escape.
What an amazing week spent in Cedar Tree, it most certainly worth the wait. Superb accommodation . The views out of this world of the countryside and all that goes with it...ie the tractors, horses, dogs, cat birds, squirrel, pair of grouses, kites, old planes, hot air balloon, and the sunset views. ..what isn't there to like!!! Plenty of places to visit Kingsclere, Sydmonton, Asley Warren, Whitchurch. Bourne Valley Inn perfect lunch (Beekeeper situation opposite). Watership Down Inn, most definately have to book table as you wont get in otherwise, and the car park gets very full and it isn't easy to park. Whitehill my favourite place :-). Thank you Jenny very much for my lovely retreat holiday .......... its been PERFECT
The hut had everything you needed. As the weather was so poor it would have been nice to have a shelter outside to sit in
All the stuff in this bijou hideaway works as it should. The view is outstanding and the owners are unobtrusive and charming. Dobbin , the horse with the coat, kept us entertained while chomping round the paddock. Parking in Whitchurch is good by the Blue Ginger restaurant, also good.
Beautiful, well equipped accommodation in a tranquil setting
Fabulously well equipped, sparkling clean. One star less due to road traffic noise of fast road onto which the hut backs onto.
Great little hut with everything you need for a lovely weekend. Well heated and comfy bed. We found there was a lack of instructions on getting into the town when walking. There is a trail we found but only safe during daylight hours. Other than this you have to drive into town and all places, which is ok however would have been nice if stated on the page. The hut is also located directly next to the owners house. We assumed there would be privacy when walking out of the hut form the pictures but you are walking into their lane way. The owners are lovely and the welcome basket was nice.
Lovely, restful stay. The shepherds hut is really well set out with everything you may need. Very quiet location. Very close to lots of good walking and the pretty town of Whitchurch.
Lovely shepherds hut in beautiful countryside with pool
The shepherd’s hut was everything we wanted and more. It was clean and well prepared and we were made to feel very welcome. The owner was helpful, polite and unobtrusive.
What a find! Wonderful accommodation in an idyllic setting. Everything had been thought about and every need provided for.
The Sherphard's Hut was spotless. Reassuring at this time with what is going on. The welcome hamper was so generous and thoughtful. We were celebrating our Ruby WA and Jennifer even decorated the hut with balloons. It was such a lovely thought. The hut had everything you could possibly need. We really enjoyed it there. Had a couple of excellent meals out too. The Star Inn is highly recommended. We loved staying here. Modern twist but still very cosy. Would we stay again? YES! Thank you.
Splendid, beautifully appointed, relaxing and the extra of a hamper with wine was delightful. Would return again.
Very relaxing stay, lovely quiet location. Great facilities in such a compact space.
Firstly, the directions to the cottage were the best ever. Very clean and an excellent welcome pack, home made jam was very tasty. Being a shepherds hut it was very cosy, but had everything for a stay, I aws using it as a base for the Goodwood revival which was an hour each way, so only really saw it in daylight on the final morning. Lovely setting, very peaceful.
Everything was clean, very guide hamper on arrival. Owners on hand if required and a nice quiet location.
