Lovely house in excellent location. Clean and exceptionally well equipped, no issues whatsoever!
Loads of space, secluded location, large secure garden for the dogs, excellent facilities and welcome treats. Kitchen was very well equipped, but some cupboard space for food would be appreciated. Games room was a boon for the teenagers. A great place if you want to get away from it all, peaceful and lovely views, but it's quite a trek if you run out of milk!
A lovely spacious property, bright and welcoming. Bathrooms rather dated. Walk in showers preferred. We were a party of 11 and a much bigger fridge/freezer plus a 2nd dishwasher were needed. There was a 2nd small fridge in the games room, but it was on the other side of the house and downstairs from the kitchen, so not handy when prepping or cooking food. There was a problem with the hot water but after a phone call it was sorted very promptly.
Thank you so much for your feedback. Wall Hills Barn has a mixture of baths and showers to suit all needs.
Great house. We had a family meet up and it worked superbly. Highly recommend.
Wall Hills Barn is the perfect place for a family meet up and we are so pleased that you had a good time. Thank you very much for leaving your feedback.
Excellent accommodation for all.
Wall Hills Barn was such a lovely retreat for my family. This was their first time to England and having them out to the countryside and staying in the barn was perfect. Finding it was easy and the instructions we were given to enter the Barn could not have been clearer. Upon arrival, the place was clean and the welcome package that was left for us was such a nice treat. We were there for 5 nights and wish we could have stayed longer. I was getting married nearby and used it as a spot to get ready for my wedding day as well as for a dinner to welcome my extended family to Engalnd as well. It was large enough to host the small get together without feeling overly crowded. It is a great place for both adults and children and is lovely no matter the weather. Thank you!!!
Beautiful location. Good descriptions. Lovely welcome pack. Fantastic views. Plenty of hot water. Sadly rather too chilly to sit outside in June!
Wall Hills Barn is one of the nicest rental properties we’ve ever stayed in. Very attractive construction, spacious and particularly well-appointed, set on a hilltop in rolling farmland with beautiful views and sunsets (if you’re lucky with the weather!). Only 10 mins from Bromyard and the excellent Legges butcher/deli. Perfect for a family get together.
All as described - perfect for long weekend
Excellent venue for my 80th Birthday Weekend 19th - 23rd January 2024. Twelve of my immediate family thoroughly enjoyed Wall Hills Barn and its amenities. The owners have thought carefully about all its facilities which are second to none. The woodburning stove with a plentiful supply of logs etc., came well to the fore during the cold weather experienced during our stay. However the barn itself was extremely warm and cosy due to its extensive underfloor heating system. Bromyard is just a 10 minute drive away and has everything you may need if you have forgotten anything in this rural location.
This was an excellent meeting place for 10 friends and very reasonably priced the second weekend of January! Everything was perfect from the warm fire with abundant logs, ample parking and great range of kitchen equipment, crockery & cutlery. The location was off the beaten track but the views were great & instructions/signposts spot on! The facilities in Bromyard were only 10/15minutes away. We enjoyed the table tennis & snooker opportunities when not exploring the local area. We would highly recommend for larger family/friends gatherings or celebrations!
Two great things about Wall Hills Barn: the position - virtually on top an iron age fort overlooking the countryside; and the building's design which creates a real sense of space. Also real care is taken to ensure that the accommodation is really ready for guests' stay.
10 of us had a wonderful stay at Walls Hill Barn. In line with the price the property is large, very well equipped and has wonderful views. There is almost no external noise apart from nature noises. We had some very nice short walks from the property and there is plenty to do within a reasonable drive. We enjoyed a longer trip down to the Wye Valley. Dealings with Rural Retreats pleasant and efficient. Highly recommended.
Lovely situation .Generous space. We'll equipped
Beautiful property. Great character, especially in the beamed upstairs rooms. The bedrooms were a bit functional and some more hanging space in them and the bathrooms would have been good. Very well equipped kitchen. It wasn't very practical to use the outside dining space, but we very much enjoyed our stay there.
Fabulous barn conversion and perfect for a family get together. It was the second time we have rented this location. The local shop Legges is the go-to place for meat, pies and all those special luxuries that make a perfect holiday.
Everything was as we had hoped and we would certainly stay again if we needed this size property.
Perfect place for a family get together. Our son’s wedding was at nearby Crumplebury, so location was ideal.
This was the third time we had stayed at the property and for the family of 12 it was absolutely perfect. It is very well equipped and laid out with plenty of space for everybody. There is a very nice garden with really good and plentiful outside furniture, plus tables and umbrellas. A really good games room. Spotlessly clean. Lovely location and scenery and Bromyard has good food shopping only a short drive away. If I would comment on anything, a bit more fridge/freezer space would help for committed self caterers with hungry mouths to feed! We managed though.
