Beautiful cottage, stunning view. Everything we needed. Perfect.
The location, facilities and cleanliness.
pretty and clean, close to public transport
Excellent location for a relaxing break!
Superb location and lovely home as a base for exploring Norfolk.
Great location … easy walk on coast path into Cromer. Lovely property .
Excellent location, property thoughtfully equipped, terrific views out to sea. Would highly recommend this property, Rural retreats were efficient but with a human face very difficult to leave on the final day!
It's a lighthouse! In a very pleasant location. The one problem was the wi-fi, which didn't work for large patches and was poor when it did..
Beautifully presented house in an idyllic location. Faultless!
Great location and good accommodation.
Beautiful location and well maintained, clean property with everything provided that was needed.
Very comfortable, lovely location for walks around Cromer
A nice house, superb location, very clean, walking distance to Cromer
The cottage was very comfortable, clean and well presented. We enjoyed the cliff top walks and regularly used the cliff steps down to the beach and then walked across the sands into Cromer. We've already booked for next year. Housekeeping request, please could you provide oven gloves and a tea cosy.
Beautiful cottage and a fantastic place to stay! This was a surprise weekend for my husbands 70th and it was perfect especially as he has a nautical background. We hadn’t been to this part of the country before but it’s a lovely coastline and would highly recommend it. I just wish we had a longer time to enjoy and explore a bit more. Cromer will be on our list to revisit. The cottage was beautifully presented, clean and very well equipped. The hamper on arrival is very welcomed...the fresh bread was lovely! If I have one tiny complaint it would be that the vacating time was a little later...that said we did manage it but 11am would have been a better vacating time. I’d definitely like to stay here again but the cost is possibly a big factor!
We have just had a wonderful week in Valonia. The cottage is in a great location - beautiful scenery on your doorstep but only a 20 minute (not 10 as per the description) into town. The cottage was very clean and well equipped, with a well thought out welcome hamper. It is a pity that local information, removed due to COVID, has not been returned yet. To maintain safety standards all they would need to do is have two sets, so one is in quarantine whilst the other is in use. Outdoor space is pleasant enough but the garden wall, which gives you privacy, does mean you lose the views when you are seated. The stone benches also get a bit hard, and can't be moved to a sunnier spot. Maybe some fold up garden chairs could be provided to give you more options. There are some benches on the nearby path with stunning views but they are little far to take your cup of tea. We wish we had had a thermos with us.
The cottage was very well set up, nicely furnished with well chosen pictures and crockery to complement the setting. Lovely location but dark to venture out after dark on foot. All clean and tidy on arrival but disappointing that the use by date on the large loaf of bread was the same as our day of arrival. Also the '10 minute stroll along the coastal path' turned out to be optimistic - it would hardly be a stroll to achieve the walk in this time and the path, although it exists, is through undergrowth and not particularly easy going in places. We missed having a Guest Book which usually provides interesting suggestions for places to eat and there were no leaflets or any indication of local places of interest so all our research had to be done on the internet.
Lovely accommodation , really enjoyed our stay despite the very un- Summer like weather! Well equipped kitchen . Well chosen hamper items. Very clean. The only feedback would be that the sofa could do with upholstery cleaning and the garden seating area needed a bit of pruning and mowing. Otherwise great and very importantly the mattress was very comfortable.Thank you.
