The Pink Cottage is an oasis of calm in secluded woods it has everything you need to for a superb holiday break...although the sofas could be a little more comfy.
Beautiful location Excellent facilities Heating on and music to arrive to . Great food provided Nice weather Immaculately clean .
Thank you for your lovely comments, we are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay at Pink Cottage.
Our second stay at this beautiful property and hopefully not our last! If you’re after peace and tranquility then this is the place to go. The cottage is set in the woods on this beautiful estate. The interior is luxurious, very warm and welcoming. There was a delicious lemon drizzle cake waiting on the kitchen table, a bottle of wine and a number of other essentials which were most welcome. We have stayed in a number of Rural Retreat properties and they never disappoint.
Beautifully appointed and perfectly presented.
Easy instructions to access the cottage. It is set in the most beautiful setting and hidden away. The cottage is a luxurious home from home and the welcome basket a lovely addition with a good selection of items. The whole cottage is so pretty with the log fire and the gardens in the spring summer would be a lovely area to use too. The bed and sofas are comfy and a good shower. The cottage provides good information on things in the local area and it was easy to get around from the site. We will be looking to return and maybe try another cottage on the site.
The property is delightful, however we found the wood burner was creating a lot of smoke inside the property.
Peacefully and charming. We will return.
What a beautiful cottage set in a wonderful wooded area; and blessed isolation. Booking was easy, we phoned rather than booked on line, and the entrance to the park was easy via only one gate with the provided key code. Perfect for 2 people for the week and very comfortable and warm; there is a log fire but we did not need to use it in May. The welcome hamper was excellent and some stuff lasted almost the whole week. We especially enjoyed the lovely walks around the estate and the nearby lake. We talked to several staff members and gardeners while on our walks and all took the time to chat and give us information on the park; really nice. Lots of wildlife to watch while sitting outside the cottage and we very much enjoyed the many squirrels running around the grounds. We were lucky to have a beautiful weeks weather which made the holiday even better. Our visit coincided with the parks 'Spring Fling', which was not intentional, but while we did visit it it was not anywhere near the cottage so we still had peace. Gripes; none really but the outside garden furniture could do with being replaced and the listed sun loungers were not to be seen. So five stars and highly recommended if you want peace and quiet but with lovely walks; we have already booked for next year. Letitia and Simon.
The welcome from the staff was as good as the welcome hamper. A very comfortable, warm cottage in an excellent position, beautifully prepared for our stay. To find the heating on and music playing in the background when we arrived was a lovely touch. We would consider staying again.
beautifully appointed cottage, attentive agent. The welcome pack was more than sufficient for the 3 night stay and was all good quality. We would book again.
A very well appointed and cared for cottage in a secluded location. The welcome hamper is the best we ever receive as compared to those in other properties. The Granary and the Art Gallery make the stay even more enjoyable.
Paradise found! A stunning place. The secluded setting amongst the woods is perfect. We loved sitting in the gorgeous garden listening to the birds and watching the squirrels chase each other in the trees. The decor is exquisite and cosy. We didn’t want to leave! Will definitely return.
Perfect place to stay in an idyllic location.
Charming holiday hideaway cottage in a very tranquil spot at a beautiful estate. Very comfortable and very welcoming hamper.
This very well appointed and secluded cottage is just perfect for a romantic getaway. In late May, the woodland around it is bursting with colour from the rhododendrons and the scent of the azeleas is heavenly. With hardly another soul on the estate, we enjoyed the 1000 acres of parkland as if we owned it. The cottage is just right for 2 people with everything one needs. The bathroom is fabulous, spacious and designed for two. We had a lovely welcome pack of food on arrival and we had ordered a meal to be prepared for us by the on-site Brasserie restaurant, which was generous and tasty. Weston Park and Rural Retreats both excelled in providing this outstanding facility.
What a lovely cottage. Everything was as described. The garden was in full bloom. Arrived to cheese, eggs, snacks and a bottle of wine, which we had in the garden. Would definitely stay and recommend this place.
A really beautiful location. The cottage is excellent and very well appointed. We were pleased to find the internet service was good. Because we are at an age where we are no longer as agile as we used to be - the seating was too low for our comfort and we would have appreciated a grab handle in the excellent walk in shower.
Peaceful, restful and delightful cottage. Had all equipment and amenities required, very comfortable and warm, delightful interior design. Had no issues and really enjoyed our stay.
Loved this cottage, it was cosy and in such a wonderful, peaceful location set in the middle of a wood, with goldcrests, tree creepers and nuthatches all around.
The cottage was beautiful. It was comfortable with everything you need. Lovely touch to have the welcome food goodies. We came in December and the wood burning stove made it toasty. Set in a magical wood and park. The added bonus was that we were able to charge our electric car outside the Brasserie restaurant. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the cottage for a winter break.
