Wonderful location and generous hamper on arrival - feels very spacious and quiet with views to die for. It was very warm weather for end of April and the lack of control of the bathroom radiators meant that adjoining bedrooms could get uncomfortable hot. We did try to get the TV system working but with very limited success. Fortunately the light evenings and starry skies were there instead to enjoy. Excellent cooking facilities too - we only lacked an orange squeezer! This was our second visit within two years and the property has clearly been very well looked after. The complimentary large scale local walking maps were really helpful. Within easy reach of Ironbridge for an educational and interesting day out.
Lovely property in a stunning location . The views are exceptional. No light pollution makes star gazing a delight. The barn itself is very warm , comfortable and well appointed. We will be booking it again soon .
Thank you so much for taking the time to complete your review. Wassell Barn is a beautiful barn conversion and we are very pleased that you enjoyed your stay.
Fabulous accommodation in a wonderful location. Highly recommended.
Spotlessly clean, excellent furnishings and linen, very well equipped and a view to die for. Warm, light and welcoming and well laid out. A fantastic away from it all location but within very easy reach of wonderful Ludlow. No hesitation in recommending. The master bedroom ensuite is jaw dropping although a little too revealing to live with in my view but great for a week.
Wassell Barn always has great feedback and thank you so much for leaving yours.
Excellent. Beautiful barn conversion, immaculately clean, comfortable, warm and very well equipped in every respect - cooking, heating, local information. A tranquil & peaceful location with spectacular views of the glorious countryside. Hope to return next year.
Thank you for your lovely review, we are so glad that you have enjoyed your stay at Wassell Barn. We look forward to welcoming you back in the near future.
Sooooo quiet great place to leave everything behind and relax
Great location, fantastic accommodation with the most amazing view
What a lovely succinct review for Wassell Barn. Thank you so much.
Beautiful property, well appointed and equipped, with stunning views.
A perfect quiet getaway in beautiful countryside
Fabulous place in a glorious, peaceful setting. The property is wonderfully presented with every conceivable contemporary amenity. Tremendously light, airy and spacious with a very generous welcome hamper. Downside? The sofas are a fraction tired and baggy - but this is splitting hairs. Wassall Barn is terrific.
Beautifully done and loved the views
We love it there and appreciate its rural location but the TV reception and the picture Was dire and we were not able to watch any films or catch up TV. The model is really old it could do with an update for such a high end accommodation We had teenagers with us so it was an important part of our holiday.
Beautiful setting and location, the cottage was really comfortable, clean, well equipped and well kept. Really enjoyed our stay
Stunning barn in a beautiful, rural location. The views from the barn were wonderful and are stay was incredibly peaceful. The barn was finished to an exceptional standard. We had an issue one day when gardeners turned up with machinery and commenced work at the property without us being notified in advance by the housekeeper. This is a dog friendly property so it’s essential you communicate with the paying guest so your dog can be secured in the barn if gardeners are attending. Calls and a message sent to the housekeeper went ignored. I informed Rural Retreats open my return but did not feel confident that this issue would be addressed for the safety of future guests.
Thank you for your feedback. We are extremely sorry that your calls and message were ignored. Unfortunately the housekeeper /manager was unwell and you were inadvertently given an incorrect property contact. This has now been addressed and we have also confirmed that guests are always contacted if gardeners wish to visit the property.
Lovely panoramic view from the cottage. Beautiful rural location yet is only a short drive to Ludlow and Perfect Ludlow Food Centre. Very spacious modern barn conversation . We family of 6 were very comfortable. The barn was very spacious and we love the opened plan of sitting area dining and kitchen are all in one room. very comfortable stay.
Excellent accommodation in a beautiful setting. Lots of things to see, do and eat in the area.
Small things prevented what should have been a five star plus (!) rating. 1) The WiFi code - we had to get this off the router. 2) Dustbins and the bagging instructions were good but the kitchen bin had four receptacles which made it less than intuitive. Oh dear (!) 3) The tall wine glasses didn’t fit the dishwasher. 4) Kitchen unit access handles weren’t that convenient e.g. when opening the fridge. This could be a nuisance for those with manual dexterity problems ( e.g. seniors) But these are all silly minor things......we had a great time in a superb location in an inspiring building. Thanks.
Wonderful, comfortable, well equipped barn in a stunning location. Lovely welcome hamper and immaculately clean accommodation. We had a wonderful few days.
Amazing barn in stunning countryside - just the getaway we needed. Barn had everything for an enjoyable stay and was beautifully furnished. We will definitely revisit! Thank you Rural Retreats.
Beautiful and relaxing place perfect for a getaway and the dog loves the space around the property.
