Vickie and Stuart hosted an amazing stay! They were there for anything we needed whatsoever. The home was beautiful and so much work and small detail has gone into it to bring the place to life. We had a wonderful time and although had planned to go out and about a lot, we really struggled to leave the beautiful home. My partner and I spent time playing with the games that had been left, sitting by the fire and having wonderful bbqs, all thanks to the owners. We would love to book again!
Another fabulous review for the lovely Well House. Thank you so much for leaving your feedback.
Just a fantastic place in a great location. Vicki and Stuart were fantastic hosts, and the welcome pack (and the birthday balloon!) we’re perfect. Thank you for a great stay.
Vicki and Stuart were great hosts and made so many little touches to really make this an extra special getaway for us! The Well House is situated in gorgeous peaceful countryside and allowed us to truly relax while we were there. The hot tub and wood fire were great, and all of their food suggestions were top notch. We would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a cosy and relaxing getaway for 2 - thank you for a wonderful stay!
Wow , what a gem ! From start to finish this experience was exceptional! We absolutely loved staying at the Well house , it’s such a tranquil getaway . The hosts are amazing , everything you could need is catered for . We could not recommend it enough and cannot wait to return .
We really could not fault it. Everywhere your eye rested, there was something of taste, interest and beauty. Wonderful proportions, use of space, quiet colours and balance. All senses were catered for - sound, sight, textures, smells and tastes - high quality toiletries, subtle scents (no sickly scented candles and cloying room fresheners here!) rustling bamboos and olives, log fires, careful lighting, very generous foodstuffs. It was a remarkable place to stay.
A really lovely place with interesting features, such as the doors, inside & outside & of course the well. Stuart & Vicky made us very welcome & it was the perfect place to unwind, relax & have some quiet time.
What a perfect relaxing weekend here at the Well House!! Stuart and Victoria’s hospitality was second to none. We’ve never had such a welcome pack!! And a special treat was the lovely hot tub! Martyn and Cynthia Ward, Yorkshire.
Amazing place everything top quality easy to book the owners are amazing everything was ready for us when we arrived, perfect. The one and only fault, I could have spent all day sat by the log fire same in the evenings but the chairs and settee were far too small and uncomfortable so could not sit for long. I
Lovely compact cottage with a unique feature! Plenty of mod cons and situated in quiet, pretty grounds. The welcome we received was like no other cottage we have stayed in, they're clearly very proud of their space. On the down side and lack of upright shower or curtain around the bath made showering very difficult. The lack of a decent sized sofa and indoor dining table wasn't ideal for 100% comfort but then if you are going to make a feature of a large well in a small space, it's going to come at a cost to something! Would recommend for a short stay and if the weather is nice the little hottub and outside area would be lovely
We had a fabulous stay at the Well house to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Our hosts were great and set the property up with relaxing music, candles and all the little touches that made it feel welcoming and romantic, as well as getting the hot tub (and chiminea and wood-burning stove inside) ready for us on arrival. The property itself was full of features – a beautifully created place. The hamper provided was excellent and we loved the lighting in the property allowing everything from romantic to bright and functional. We especially loved the lighting in the well which is a beautiful feature. We had been given suggestions on eating out before we arrived and had booked at a variety of restaurants for the duration of our stay. We had dinner at Ascotts, ****’s Smokehouse, Fusos, lunch at the Queens head and breakfast at No 3. All were excellent. We took full advantage of being so close to the Tardebigge Locks and did a lot of walking. We also thoroughly enjoyed and made use of all the wood fired ‘devices’; the Swedish-style hot tub, the chiminea to extend our time outside and the stove inside when it was time to be indoors. Our fire lighting and fire tending skills have definitely improved! Our only suggestion, alongside remembering to bring your swimwear for the hot tub, is to bring footwear to get you from the house to the sauna – the gravel’s a bit sharp underfoot for bare feet.
The Well House far exceeded our expectations. The owners thought of every detail to make our stay remarkable. From the welcome basket, to the wood fire hot tub, we were impressed. There are several fun places within a short walking distance and the countryside is beautiful!
Hosts couldn't do enough for us, if we mentioned anything, was done eyesight away property superb, very quiet and relaxing , will definitely return
